I received an email yesterday from the editor of Factor Four Magazine informing me that the magazine has closed and all stories have been released (you can read the full announcement here). Unfortunately, this means that my story “Employable Skills,” which had recently been accepted by the magazine, will not be published in its pages. I’m disappointed that you won’t get to see the story in print any time soon, but I’m grateful that the editor took the time to notify authors and release stories–I’ve had several stories caught in limbo before when a magazine disappears without a trace, and it is nice to know that I’m free to find a new home for my story.
