Tomorrow! Sci-Fi Central – October 3, 2026

I’ll be at Science Central’s Sci-Fi Central tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (1950 N. Clinton Street) in Fort Wayne! This year, the theme is Fantasy, and they have lots of fun activities–check out the event page for more details and get your tickets here! I’ll have my books, art items, and crocheted critters! I’ve been working on some new things lately, and some of them will be ready for this weekend–check out the pictures below for some of my newest critters.

I went to the opening of Bad Cat Knit Goods, a new yarn shop in Fort Wayne and bought a new (to me) yarn from Spincycle Yarns. My first creation with it is the orange cat below, which my actual cat had to check out, of course! The tiny octopodes are made with yarn from the summer yarn club at Simply Socks Yarn Company–the smaller one is made with two different yarns, and the bigger one is the same two yarns crocheted together at the same time. The last picture is the small pumpkin patch that I have crocheted over the last few months. These are just some of my new critters, so you’ll have to stop by an event soon to check them out!

New Event – Books & Brews – October 24, 2026

I just received confirmation that I was accepted to a new event–Books & Brews, a local author fair at the Marion Public Library (600 S. Washington Street, Marion, Indiana 46953). It takes place on October 24th from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., and I’ll send more details closer to the event–I’m excited for a new local author fair!

Change for November – Def-Com 11

This one doesn’t take place until November, but I made a change to my schedule, so I wanted to mention it. Originally, I had signed up for H3: Homemade Handmade Holiday on November 21st, but then I found out it was the same day as Def-Com. Instead of the fall H3, I’ll now be attending the Spring H3 shopping event–they haven’t released a date yet, but usually, it is in March or April. And on November 21st, I’ll be returning to Def-Com at the Northtowne Mall in Defiance, Ohio. It was a lot of fun last year, and I’m excited to be back again this year!

I’ll probably add another event or two this fall, so keep an eye on my events page, and I’ll try to share some of my new creations on Facebook and Instagram in between!
