I uploaded “H²O” to Smashwords and Amazon. This story has always been a bit difficult to pin down, category-wise. I wrote it as a fantasy story, but it made its original appearance in Trysts of Fate as paranormal romance. It’s probably best to check out the sample and decide for yourself.
In other news, I just found out that my Daily Science Fiction story, “Dear Superhero,” will be emailed out and available on their website this Wednesday, May 20th. I really liked “Dear Superhero”. I also hate the old hackneyed cliches in movies and TV like “Wait in the car.” Another one I see all the time is “No time to call for backup!”
I agree, I feel like my writing is often motivated by seeing/reading the same scenario over and over again, and thinking “how would I rather see this scene play out?”
Also, I’m glad you liked the story!
