Michiana Regional Seed Swap This Saturday- January 17, 2026

I’m kicking off the new year with two back to back events! This Saturday, January 17th, I’ll be at the 8th Annual Michiana Regional Seed Swap in Goshen, Indiana (1900 South Main Street) from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. This event has a nice variety of activities–you can read about the speakers and vendors on their website, and you don’t have to bring seeds to participate in the swap. I’ll be there with a handful of art items, books, and lots of critters, including some new ones! I wrapped up some Sweet Joe Pye and Purple Love Grass seeds to give away at my table–check out the adorable little Purple Love Grass seeds in the close up picture below 🙂 We also made 200 packets of different native seeds to add to the swap, so there will be a nice variety there as well!

Next Saturday, Winterval – January 24, 2026

Next Saturday, January 24th is Winterval in downtown Fort Wayne with lots of activities throughout the area. I’ll be at the Warm Heart Market in the Community Center (233 West Main Street) from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. with my books, art, and any critters that don’t get snapped up at the seed swap (probably a few new ones too!). I checked out a new book of low-sew amigurumi patterns from the library called Quirky Amigurumi by Allishen Hamilton, and I am enjoying the patterns so far! I made a banana slug, a tapir, and I built on the banana slug pattern to make a sea bunny. I’m looking forward to trying more of these patterns, so I might have some more new critters by Winterval too. Both the Michiana Regional Seed Swap and Winterval are free to attend–I hope to see you there!

H3: Spring Shopping Event – March 21, 2026

H3: Winter Bazaar – November 21, 2026

I’ve signed up for a few events already for later in the year, and I’m keeping my eye out for the opening of applications for some others, but I don’t want to post those until I’m officially signed up. So, you can mark your calendars for both H3 handmade shopping events at the New Haven Community Center (7500 SR 930 E): the spring event will be on March 21st, and the holiday event will be on November 21st, which makes them easy to remember. I always enjoy these events, and I’m excited to be able to attend both this year! Keep an eye on my Events page, where I’ll add new ones as I sign up for them, hopefully soon!
